Beyond the scope of our Transfer programme, the JMC EUPOL is also committed into organizing a series of complementary conferences and specialized lectures on EU affairs as part of our events and dissemination activities.

Undergraduate Lecture of Prof. Ariadna Ripoll Servent
On October, 2019, Prof. Ariadna Ripoll Servent (Assistant Professor for Political Science and European Integration at the University of Bamberg; Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute of Florence) was invited to provide a lecture on the EU Area of Freedom, Security and Justice for undergraduate students enrolled in the “European policies” Modules under the responsibility of the EUPOL JMC.
Conversations about Europe (JMC Conference Series)
The JMC EUPOL, in collaboration with the JMC on EU Governance (UPF Barcelona) and the Institut de Ciències Polítiques i Socials (UAB) has organized a series of conferences over the present and future of European politics in the context of European Elections 2019. The main purpose of the meetings has been to extend the debate beyond traditional academic circles to include citizens’ participation.
The events were also dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Jean Monnet activities.
The three events that were hosted during Semester 2 were:
1) May 23, 2019. Populism, Nationalism and New Actors in the context of European Parliament elections. Experts invited: Prof. Ángel Rivero, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid; Salvador Llaudes Cañete, Real Instituto Elcano.

Two Lectures inside the Europe course in the Argó Programme 2019 at UAB
The EUPOL JMC was partially involved in the organization of a course on EU affairs by the Argó Programme at UAB. Argó is a summer educational programme offered by the Institute of Educational Sciences at UAB as a preliminary university experiences for talented students in secondary education. It is meant to provide orientations about the academic and professional careers of individuals in their future.
The European Documentation Center (official partner of EUPOL) has been involved for over three years in the production of a course in European affairs for younger students. This involves a series of practical activities as well as a series of lectures by expert academics and professionals related to the world of EU integration. The Chair has committed into funding two lectures inside the three-weeks programme:
1) July 1, 2019. El Pregoner: how to manage a Radio show on the EU. Expert invited: Francesc Andrés Masoliver (anchorman and coordinator of the show); Martí Francàs and Maria Castanyer (collaborators)

Undergraduate Lecture of Mr. Jaime Andreu Romeo
On October 25, 2018, Mr. Romeo was invited both as expert to our EUTalk and as guest lecturer for the students of the Degree in Journalism enrolled in the “Comparative World Politics” Module.
EU Workshop for MA Students of European Integration (UAB, 2018-2019)
The European Documentation Center has developed a project to support theOfficial Masters European Integration .This is a workshop in which every week – especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10: 00h to 14: 00h – students explore a different theme on the process of European integration.
The Virtual Campus UAB has been the tool used for the design of seven modules that students will perform during the months of November and December. Each module is a combination of lectures, videos and questionnaires, divided into subtopics.
The course has been going on for over three years, and the EUPOL JMC has now begun to offer logistical and technical support for its realization.
